Today SwitchOff Ambassadors went out into all halls of residences to complete recycling audits for each individual kitchen.
To complete the audit for each kitchen, each ambassador needed to rate the way in which the waste was disposed of out of a possible 15 points.
For example if the recyclable waste was contaminated with something that wasn't recyclable, or something that was recyclable but was found to be contaminated in some way e.g not rinsed, or contained food, the kitchen would lose points.
The same went for the refuse bin in their kitchen. If something that was found in the refuse bin that was recyclable was not placed in the recycling bin, they would also lose points.
The kitchens with the highest amount of points won chocolate. Yummy!
