It's official, it's launched! The Environmental Society has landed!

So it's official. Some of you may have noticed the Environmental Society is now online!
We have a brand new logo, created by one of our very own creative students, and brand new social media hubs.
I have so much planned for this year and I really hope this society will take off and become really successful, so when I leave in 2017 it can carry on and become even bigger & better!
Here are some of the activities/events that you can look forward to this year...
-Planting fruit trees
-Building mini beast hotels
-Building homes for hedgehogs
-Maintaining the campus allotment/planting new plants
-Recycling Audits
-Various NUS Green Impact activities (these are dependent on the workbook)
-Pond clearance
-Small mammal trappings
-Trips to lectures/demonstrations
-The Big Tidy up
-Campus Blackout
-Snap it off campus walkabouts
-Fairtrade Week and Green Week.
-Talks/lectures and movie screenings
-Activities associated with the Wildlife Trust. E.g. Winnall Moors.
-Various green projects throughout the year.
-Photography competitions - Winners to be displayed somewhere on campus at the end of the year*
