So hopefully I've enticed you with the blog title.. Now I have your attention I'd like to tell you about NUS Student SwitchOff. ;)
So what is NUS Student SwitchOff?
The sole aim of Student SwitchOff is to drastically reduce the carbon footprint created by halls of residence across the campus.
SwitchOff aims to help you to reduce your carbon footprint by teaching you how to recycle affectively, and considerably reduce the amount of energy you use in your halls of residence.
This is done through a variety of halls visits by SwitchOff Ambassadors, and several competitions that run throughout the year.
These include photo competitions and quizzes that run on the Facebook page and our very own university SwitchOff page.
Other opportunities to win prizes may arise throughout the year.
What kind of prizes can I win by taking part?
Throughout the year you can have a chance of winning: 1ltr of Ben & Jerry's, NUS Extra cards, and free Summer Ball tickets* at the end of the year.
*Summer Ball tickets are given away to the flat who saves the most energy over the academic year.
